Attention Volunteers: Register for the 2010 Hands on DC Workathon, May 15! On Saturday, May 15, the D.C.-based nonprofit Hands on DC will hold its annual workathon to help improve the physical conditions of DC public schools. YGL’s DC and Bethesda chapters will be teaming up once again to participate in this event. We are in need of enthusiastic volunteers! Work typically involves projects such as painting, cleaning, and landscaping. Volunteers are not required to donate or collect donations, but it is appreciated. Individuals who raise $50 or more will receive a free Hands on DC t-shirt. Last year we raised more than $800. This year, we hope to raise more than $1,000.
